Professor Emeritus of the Museum and Curator Emeritus of Anthropology. Born in Nebraska and attended UNL receiving a B.S. in Chemistry in 1949 and an M.A. in Anthropology in 1950. (He received his PhD from Harvard)
He worked in the field and at various museums around the country before returning to Nebraska in 1974 to become the Director of the University of Nebraska State Museum. When he was young, his father had introduced him to E. H. Barbour and had become good friends with him over the years. He's been at UNL since 1974.
